Obituary of Piet Den Boer

Obituary DEN BOER - Pieter “Piet” of St. Thomas passed away peacefully with family at his side at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Alice Den Boer (nee Cummings). Piet is survived by his children David Den Boer (Linda) of Mt. Brydges and Susan Reitsma (Al) of St. Thomas; grandchildren Mitchell Den Boer of Edinburgh, Scotland, Shauna Douglas (Ron) and their son Kaidan of St. Thomas, Shayne Reitsma (Bri Duret) of St. Thomas. Missed by siblings Marjorie Lampman (late John) of St. Thomas, Mary den Boer of the Netherlands, and the late John Den Boer (Mary) of London; brother in law Jack Cummings (Linda) of Union and sister in law Claire Hepburn of St. Thomas; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). As per the family’s request all services are private. Interment in Fingal Cemetery.
