Obituary of Bob Clarkson

CLARKSON - Robert “Bob” George of St. Thomas passed away peacefully with family at his side at University Hospital, London on Friday, March 6, 2020 at the age of 81. Beloved husband and best friend of Beverley Clarkson (nee Tooley) for 62+ years. Bob is survived by his children Jane Cox (Baxter Hoyles) of St. Mary’s, Rob Clarkson (Corinna) of St. Thomas, Scott Clarkson (Lisa) of Brantford and the late Paul Clarkson (1998); grandchildren Kristen and Kimberly Cox, late Christopher Clarkson (2016), Sean Morgan (Kristen), Nikole Van Wulven (Rob), the late Jennifer Clarkson (2012), Stephanie Fennema (Tim), Daniel Clarkson, David Clarkson (Morgan), Sarah Chatterson (Jeremy); great grandchildren Brody Cox, Sierra and Caden Clarkson-Weston, Alexander, Adriana, Juliette and Lincoln Morgan, Emma, Kaelynn, Jorja and Maveric Van Wulven, Micah Clarkson, Avery and Elodie Fennema, Brantley Clarkson and Cailin Chatterson. Bob will be missed by his furry companion Cosmo and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Margaret Clarkson and by siblings Jeanette Biso (late Wilf) and William Clarkson (Late Carol). Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). Visitation will be held at the St. Thomas Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 451 Wellington Street, St. Thomas on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will be held at the church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tom Beecroft officiating. Interment in Woodland Cemetery. If desired, donations to St. Thomas Christian Church or a donation of blood at your local Canadian Blood Services would be appreciated.
