Obituary of Adam Vanderven

VANDERVEN- Adam Ray of St. Thomas passed away at St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the age of 45. Adam is survived by his parents Ray Vanderven and Debbie Rockefeller; by his siblings Tony Vanderven (Adrienne Travis) and Tina Vanderven (Jeff Esseltine) all of St. Thomas; by his grandparent Stacey (Rose) Rockefeller; by his nieces and nephews Timothy and Robert Vachon, Nicholas and Blake Vanderven, and Damien and Kirsten Vanderven; by his aunts and uncles Susan Taite, Earven Rockefeller, Robert Rockefeller, Cindy and Cecil Millen, David Vanderven, Dorothy Maertens, William Vanderven (deceased), Joyce DeLeebeck, James Vanderven, Jean DeDecker, Mae DeLeebeck, and by his many other cousins and friends. Adam enjoyed dancing, spending time with family and friends, shopping, Anime, movies, cooking, gardening, and taking care of his Pomeranians. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Monday, November 23, 2020 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. COVID-19 protocols will be implemented. A private funeral will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 1:00 pm. A live stream of the funeral will be available on Adam’s tribute page through the funeral home website. Cremation to follow. If desired, donations to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.
