John and I have known Mary Virginia for many years, having all grown up in St..Thomas, and our families having attended First United Church. We will miss her Christmas card this year.
I have always enjoyed my association with Mary Virginia, socially and in the Alma College Alumnae Association. Mary Virginia was an active, faithful and contributing member of the Alumnae Association. She will surely be missed.
Our condolences to her family and friends.
Jean and John Dollar.

Mary Virginia was an awesome role model for myself and our family. She spoke the truth in love, had her own style, always showed up and participated whole-heartedly. We were reflecting as a family about Mary Virginia today, and only loving and fond memories arose. We were blessed to have her in our First United Church family. She will be missed. Our condolences to her family.
The Bill and Lois Beamish family.

I'm very sorry to learn of the death of Mary Virginia. She never complained about having to use a walker or her hoarseness. She was a true optimist. I shall miss her.

I cannot imagine our annual June Alumnae Reunion without Mary Virginia scurrying about making sure everything was in its proper place. I knew I could rely on Mary Virginia to be one of the first to arrive to help set up. She truly was a pillar of our alumnae association, ensuring the association survived after the school closed and after the fire took Dear Old Alma. Mary Virginia could easily be our own historian; she could recall events, people, and dates. Most importantly, she believed in acknowledging those alumnae who had made significant contributions to both Alma College and the International Association. And without doubt, she would prepare a speech during the "In Memoriam" segment to remind us of their contributions to Alma. I am saddened that now I have to do the same for Mary Virginia. Hearing of Mary Virginia's death was heartbreaking. To Mary Virginia's family, please accept my condolences and know that your aunt was well respected by the Alma Girls! I will miss her hearty chuckle.
Lisa Johnson, Past President, International Alumnae Association

The Alma College International Alumnae Association will miss Mary Virginia. She was so active, full of ideas and information and willing to contribute in any way she could. We will miss her. We will have a tree planted in her memory and hopefully another tree planted on the Alma property when we are able. Our condolences to Mary Virginias family and friends.
