Dear Hennie and family,
I am so very sorry to hear of your loss of Barend.
It was my privilege to work with Barend for several years at the Woodstock Hospital.
He was a very kind man who often had a glint of mischief in his eye. He had a great sense of humour as well. He was very caring and thoughtful towards the patients he looked after.
I always enjoyed hearing stories about his family. They were told with great love and respect.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time.

Dear Bonvanie family,
May God be your strength in these days ahead.
The memories from Covenant CRC and our neighbours in Woodstock came flooding through.
Even fhe little chats at Woodstock General when I worked there and we would pass in the hallway. Always had a smile and profound word. Life is fleeting.

Dear Hennie and family
How sad it was to hear about Bernard. Our deepest condolences with the loss of your dear husband Hennie and loving father and opa of the children. He was a good man and will be greatly missed. Many years ago when you still lived in Woodstock, I visited you for the day. My car was leaking oil and I was nervous about the drive back home to Dundas. Bernard just came home from work and did his best to see what the problem was. He looked under the hood, peered under the car and then gave me the OK that it was safe enough to drive. He was just very kind and calm, putting me at ease.
May you be comforted to know that in a blink of a eye, your dad was in the presence of Jesus where sorrow is no more.
