Obituary of John Esler

ESLER - John William of Mapleton passed away at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the age of 63. John will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Barbara and son Spencer. He is survived by his brothers Jamie (Femmie) Esler and Jerry Esler; by his siblings-in-law Polly (Michael) Bowie, Joe Cadham, Portia (Wayne) Peckham, Betsy (Carlos) DeLucca, Tom (Lana) Cadham, Bev Cadham and Toby (Robin) Cadham; and by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. John was born in London to the late David and Sandra Esler. He retired from GM Diesel. He was passionate about golf, cooking and spending time with family. His quick wit and sense of humour will be deeply missed. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 pm. The memorial service to celebrate John’s life will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 11:00 am, at Faith Church, 345 Fairview Avenue, St Thomas.
