S o sorry to hear of Marlene's passing. I remember many years ago we gave out the papers to the Sunday School classes at Union United Church. When I had my consignment store Marlene brought me some beautiful clothes. She was a fashion icon & always had a story to tell to make my day. She shared her musical talent with everyone. My heart goes out to the family at this very sad time. Rest in Peace my friend.

Marlene's friends at Knox Nipisssing United Church were saddened to hear of her passing. While living in Nipissing Village Marlene shared her gift of music with us. She played the piano on Sunday mornings and of course we had many visits to her gardens. Her sense of style always brought pleasurer to us. We missed them when they moved on to Sparta Line. When she visited a few times she would come to church and once again play for us.
Go in peace Marlene, Your Knox Nipissing church family.

Condolences to the family. I knew Marlene 50 years and she was an inspiration to me, by her positive and upbeat personality. Marlene always put a BIG SMILE on everyone’s face she came in contact with, if she was musically entertaining you, wearing her unique fashions or telling a joke, you had to loved her free spirit. July 22 Marlene and I parked our collectable cars beside each other at the Port Stanley Car show. We had a great talk and I will never forget she drove off into the sunset in her convertible and Marlene is now putting BIG SMILES on the faces of Angels.

Dear Sherry and family. Just got a call about Mom and I am so shocked. So many great memories from years and years ago and just recently too. She always had a smile, lots of funny jokes, loved to "dress up" and her piano playing was amazing. She loved to play and that made it so much fun to listen and love it along with her. She loved her flower beds and her cats and her friends and most importantly, her family. She was so proud of you Sherry and I know you were so good to her. You will miss her so much and pray that God will bring you comfort and peace during these most difficult days Our condolences to all the family. Love you and God bless.

I have so many fond memories of Marlene at Union United Church ... her talent of playing by ear truly amazed me. Whenever she was there, I would turn down the organ volume and just let her do her thing. Her piano was one of her happy places and she loved sharing her talent. Whether she was a listening ear or telling me a good, slightly off-colour joke, she was so loved. To hear her tell about the time she was taking care of the church gardens and her car drove away, without her in it, into the bushes with her chasing in her flip flops ... to the many accessories she wore ... and honestly, who else can pull off leather pants, leopard prints, lime green and sparkles??? My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends during this very difficult time. She is really going to be missed. XO
