Obituary of Alfred Frederick Bailey

BAILEY – Alfred Frederick, born in St Thomas on Monday, December 5, 1938 passed away peacefully at the St Thomas-Elgin General Hospital with his family at his side on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the age of 84.  Beloved husband of Betty Bailey (nee Slade).  Alfred is survived by his children Debbie (Lance) Trojek of Union and Ken Bailey (Janie) of Copenhagen; grandchildren Lindsay (Aaron) Hinde, Brittany (Randy) Trojek-Orchard, Justin (Emily) Trojek, Melissa (Jamie) McQueen, Josh (Mel) Bailey; great grandchildren Alyiah, Jaden, Mackenzie, Cole, Ryker, Jaxon, Harlow, Hallie, Charlie and Clarke; siblings Wayne (Lynn) Bailey and sister-in-laws Brenda Bailey and Diane (Peter) Reith.  Predeceased by his parents Donald & Elsie Bailey and brother Gary Bailey.  Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 12:00 – 1:00 with a memorial service held in the chapel at 1:00 p.m.  Interment of ashes to follow in Union Cemetery.  If desired, donations to Animal Aide would be appreciated.  Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
