Obituary of William Edward Ripley

RIPLEY- William Edward of St. Thomas passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the age of 76.  Bill is survived by his loving wife, of twenty years, Moya Norman; by his children Paula (Mike) Gunn and Brian (Holly) Ripley; and by his stepchildren Troy (Amanda) Norman and Glenda Norman (Gene Smith).  He will be missed by his grandchildren Mackenzie, Kate, Hunter, Kenzie, Brooklyn, and Brandon (Crystal).  He will also be missed by his favourite mother-in-law Marion, his first wife and good friend Pat, and many friends and neighbours.  Bill was generous with his time, helping family, friends and neighbours with repairs and projects. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570).  As per Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A private celebration of his life will be held on a later date.  Interment of ashes will take place in Port Howe Cemetery, Nova Scotia.  If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.  Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
