Obituary of Betty Norine Jones

JONES- Betty Norine of Metcalfe Gardens and formerly of Millcreek Apartments in St. Thomas passed away at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the age of 84. Betty is survived by her nephews Robert (Linda) Jones of Port Stanley and Ralph (Sue) Jones of Port Stanley; and by her several great nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents Bernard and Ruth Jones and her brother and sister-in-law Stan and Anna Jones. Betty spent most of her life in Toronto working at the Princess Margaret Hospital, before moving to St. Thomas to be closer to her family. A memorial service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 10:30 am. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment of ashes will take place in Hunter-Jones Cemetery on a later date. If desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
