My deepest sympathy to Valerie and family on this tragic loss. I remember babysitting Quentin many, many years ago. He was such a little cutie. I remember one time when he came up to me telling me that he had sneezed from his bottom - adorable. May all your good memories give you comfort during this difficult time. This was the saddest news I could get when I returned from 3 weeks with family in Calgary!! Quentin and I were friends since he was in grade 11. over the years he also worked with me in my companies and at my house. I felt Quent was a part of my family like another child. My greatest comfort was that he felt similar and over the years would freely call me for help and support in some of his darkest times. The last time we were together was December 19 when we went grocery shopping and did Christmas gifts as I was leaving on December 22 for Calgary. We had a great visit. I even ended up getting a flat tire. Quent lightened the mood by drawing to my attention we were lucky it was only flat on the bottom!!!! I cannot imagine the loss Valerie , Robin, Nick and Brandon feel, given the devastation I as a friend feel at his passing. I offer you my sincerest sympathies for your loss of Quentin, a son and brother.

Thank you, Bill, it was always a comfort to me knowing that you in St.Thomas could be in touch with Quentin and help him out when needed. I feel you were always there for him. I like to feel he is at peace now, while we are coping with our sadness and regret that we, even though we tried, did not help him more.

"To die, to sleep; To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub; For in that sleep of death what dreams may come / When we have shuffled off this mortal coil, Must give us pause..." Quentin was my youngest brother, and although we didn't know each other while we were growing up as I had been given up for adoption at birth, there was a period of time when we felt the bond of blood. I remember his sweet smile and the warmth and acceptance he offered to me and my children. He suffered terribly from chronic insomnia, and now, while I lie awake at night, I'll think of him. Sleep well, little brother. May there be light wherever you are.

Thank you for your condolences, I don't know you but appreciate your response. Quentin will be missed by many. His mother, Valerie Young Mount of Nova Scotia. A service of remembrance is planned for March 12 at Spohn's Flats, where he loved to play disc golf. We will try to keep his friends informed of our plans.
