Obituary of Donald Jeffery

JEFFERY- Donald Archibald passed away at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the age of 79. Don is survived by his loving wife Doris Lynne (nee Miller) of St. Thomas; by his children Jane (Paul) Sibley, Cheryl (Ken) Vannatter, Rick (Janice) Jeffery all of St. Thomas, and Michele (Chris) Martin of Calgary; by his 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; his siblings Audrey Pinter of Tillsonburg, Jeannie (Bruce) Swain of Port Glasgow, Gerald (Marg) Jeffery of Union; and by his many other nieces and nephews and in-laws. Predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Evelyn Jeffery and his brothers Earl, Ted, Bob and Jim. Don had the love for golf and achieved a hole in one at the age of 75. A memorial service to celebrate Don’s life will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 1:30 pm. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment of ashes in Union United Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to S.T.E.G.H.
