Obituary of Chick Campbell
CAMPBELL- Walter Dougald “Chick” Campbell passed away, surrounded by his family, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the age of 88. Chick is survived by his loving wife Joyce Campbell (nee McGennis); his children Patti (late Ron) Behie, Michael Campbell, Joy (Bob) Powers, and Neil Campbell; his grandchildren Christy (David) Guertin, Melanie Hickingbottom, Aaron Powers, Christopher Campbell, Robin Campbell and Coree Campbell; 11 great grandchildren; by his sister Patricia Salloway; and by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Phyllis Gatecliffe and his brother Alex Campbell. Chick and his brother Alex were the founding members of Campbell Brothers Movers. A memorial service to celebrate Chick’s life will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 1:00 pm. A private interment of ashes will take place in Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery on a later date. If desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
