My Darling Lisa. Always a smile on your face. Always in good spirits. You always made me laugh, even in the darkest days. You were the one who welcomed me to std 5 at Seaview Primary School. I did not want to be there and ran away on my first day. You chased me down Stratham Avenue with Mr Meyerand begged me to come back to class. You said, "It's okay. You'll find your way. I'll sit with you at break." You stayed by my side throughout school until you went to Cambridge College. I was devastated to lose my everyday friend. We swam together in your pool in your back yard. Who didn't. Everyone was there. We went to your Mom's work on a Friday afternoon to collect our share of cheese and butter that your Mom had bought us from Clover. You witnessed my first kiss from a guy I had a crush on. We used to sit and watch your Dad welding burglar guards and gates. In fact, all our gates, etc at our house were welded by your Dad. You phoned me when you met Shaun to tell me you were in love and that you were going to marry him. You just knew. You visited me three days before you left S.A. for Canada. We cried and hugged each other, not knowing when we would see each other again but you always kept in touch with me, even if it wasn't always reciprocated. Through all those days and years you staunchly kept in touch, telling me all about yours and Shaun's and your children's lives. About your passion for cooking, your great love of all your friends in Canada, your potjie competitions, your ship cruises and adventures, your surgery. Everything. Your absolute dedication to your family who you loved endlessly and forever. Your love of your pets and your greatest love of all time, your Dearest Mum, Aunty Beth. My sweet, kind Lisa with the biggest grin ever. I am heartbroken. I'm going to miss you my Love. Rest well my Sweet Pea.

Ai, Lisa, I never knew you that well, as you left shortly after my wedding. But the times we were together was very special. You always went out of your way to make me feel welcome. Always a bright smile and spirit. Always seeing the best in people. Christmas 2016 is one of my favourite memories. We all had such a lovely time. Ryan was so scared we will send him shopping with you! It was such a lekker joke that holiday. You were such a kind hearted person and the world will miss your space in it. You went hopelessly too soon. May you and mom enjoy your time there together. Will dearly miss you.
Love you always
Deanne

My deepest condolences to all of those who knew and loved Lisa. Whenever she was around you knew you were going to have a good laugh. One of my most Precious memories it's Lisa rocking my children as babies to sleep . I will always be grateful for those quiet moments you allowed me, the comfort you provided my children, and the memories that I have of you.

Lisa, it was such an honour to get to be a small part of your life, let alone the honour of calling you Momma P.
Thank you for always welcoming me into your home and making me feel like family. I'm going to cherish my memories with you; so many fun times camping and hilarious moments floating down the Paris River. I'm going to cherish all the times I got to hear you yell for "Can!", I can still hear it like it was yesterday. I loved going to the Christmas markets, where Candice likes to spend all my money. I promise to keep taking her so she can continue the tradition. No one will ever be as good of a cook as you, your cooking was legendary, especially your lamb, it'll forever be my favourite. What I wouldn't give for another home cooked meal by you. I'm going to miss you so deeply. Thank you again for everything you've done for me. Until we meet again (for dinner of course!!) Love always Nikki

To our dearest Lisa.
I know as I sit here to ponder over what I want to say right now, you looking down on me and saying to yourself, C'mon Bins, spit it out! This is something we all loved about you! Your amazing sense of humour and "tell it as it is" style of talking, I just loved! You and Shaun opened up your home to us in Amherstburg when we first arrived from South Africa 24 years ago. You made us feel so welcome. We will forever be grateful for your hospitality and kindness. I thoroughly enjoyed our visits and chats about gardening, pets and family. You are leaving a huge void in our lives but please rest in peace knowing that you are so loved and your family can lean on us for anything. 'Till we meet again dear friend.
Paul, Belinda and Nathan Timmins.

Lisa, my heart breaks for you. Your shortened life and so many moments unfulfilled. You should know that your kind spirit and warm heart has affected so many people, whom now will feel the regret of the future without you. Anyone who knew you, knew that you made a home for everyone, from your family, to your friends and your furry family too. You are the epicentre. I will miss you and regret not reaching out as often as I wanted as that is no longer possible. I love you, and feel deprived of the opportunity to sit with you in your garden one more time.

My heart felt prayers goes out to the family in this time of grief. I understand the loss of your mother at a young age, it is never complete but there will always be memories. Lisa was never on time to any of our gatherings so we started giving her an earlier time and then she still came late lol! That was the uniqueness of her and living life to the beat of her own drum. She was funny, always had a comeback that made us laugh and made good food. She loved her dogs and she was so proud of her garden, I loved seeing the pictures she posted of her flowers and special things she collected for it. She cared for her family and was proud of the kids becoming the best the can be. She always had a smile and we where always happy to see her. May the family find peace and may the pain get better over time. Always remember the days you had and never forget her smile.

To Lisa’s family. My heartfelt condolences. Although I knew Lisa only for a short time, I feel as if I’ve lost a life long friend. We shared a passion for gardening (especially daylilies) and through that passion, I met a kind, generous, sweet lady who always found little ways to brighten my days when we met. I’ll miss her dearly.

Lisa was a mother and friend to many beyond her own children and family, including us. She was one of the kindest, whitiest and funniest people we knew.
The Lord has been glorified with her life. May the Lord's grace be sufficient for your family as you grieve and adjust to life in her absence. Shaun, Candice and Jason, our deepest condolences.
Lisa will forever live in our memories as they bring a smile to our faces. May God bless you and your family in this challenging time, but rest assured she is in the Lord's caring hand forever.
Dave and Lynn
