Obituary of Paul Douglas Danowski

DANOWSKI – Paul Douglas of London passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at the age of 69.  Beloved father of Pamela Danowski, Laura Danowski (Kevin Samrick), Mike Danowski (Lindsay) and step father to Matt Exel; grandfather of Connor Zellas, Stephen Exel and Kyle Exel.  Paul is survived by siblings Carol Danowski-Burchill, Gail Lovie, Ed Danowski (Janis) and Brenda Schwartz (John).  Paul also leaves behind his ex-wives Susan Broadbent and Janine Danowski and many nieces, nephews and extended family. 

Paul had a heart of gold and a way with words. He loved God and would share bible verses and words of wisdom with others. His love for God made him the most forgiving and loving man you would ever meet. Paul was the biggest cheerleader for his children, carrying around photos of them in his jacket pocket at all times. He was the world’s best Dad, never missing a school play, a little league game, or a karate class. He loved writing letters to his children and giving gifts to his loved ones every chance he had. He also loved rock and roll, shopping for clothes, fishing, playing baseball and hockey. He retired from Accuride, London, after approximately 30 years. Paul was the king of movie quotes and dad jokes, never missing a chance to make people roll their eyes and laugh. He had two favourite hockey teams, the Toronto Maple Leafs and whoever was playing against the Habs. He also loved animals, especially wolves and birds. Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570).  A private family interment of ashes will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023 in Forest Lawn Cemetery, London, ON. A public celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the London Irish Canadian Cultural Society, 4308 Dundas St, Thorndale, ON.
