Obituary of William Pennings

PENNINGS - William of Bobier Villa, Dutton passed away peacefully with family at his side on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at the age of 85 to be with his Lord and Saviour.  Beloved husband of Sara Pennings (nee. Van Pelt).  William is survived by children Annette James, Bonnie Pennings-Laman, Michelle (William) Gelderblom, Marilyn (Wes) Sommer and Jody (Eric) Luth; grandchildren Nicole (Ben), CJ, Joseph, Jenny, Michael (Justine), Angela, Ben (Leah), Geoff, Jeremy, Rebecca (Mike), Katherine (Maikil), Philip, Rachelle (Mitch), Jaime-Lynn, Jessica, Andrew, Sharyn, Tyler (Caitlin), Ryan (Grace), Jocelyn, Clayton, Dexter, Travis, Keagan, Nadia, Valerie and Brycen; 13 great grandchildren.  Missed by siblings Bertha De Jong, John (Mary) Pennings, Gary (Ineke) Pennings, Albert (Annette) Pennings; sibling-in-law Gerda Pennings.  Predeceased by siblings Ben Pennings, Henk Pennings, Jan (late Hennie) Pennings, Wilma (late Jack) De Jong, and Christine (late Bill) Van Oene; sibling-in-law Fred De Jong.  Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be held at Redemption Bible Chapel, 109 Chestnut Street, St Thomas on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.  Private family interment in Shedden Cemetery.  If desired, donations to RITE Canada would be appreciated.  Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
