Obituary of Hilda Lorraine Velema

Hilda Lorraine Velema (nee Andrews) - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Nana and Great Nana at the age of 89 years. She will be missed by her children Lorraine (George), Jane, Joan, John (Kelley), Laura (Jeff), and Paul (Mandy); her grandchildren Lauren (Paul), Leah (John), Beckett, Korina, Arjen, and Sullivan; and great grandchildren Owen, Aiden, Jack, Madeleine and Norah.

Hilda is predeceased by her husband Jan (John).  She will be fondly remembered by her sister Helen and family.

There will a private family gathering and her life will be honoured at a graveside service at Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Thomas. Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570).  Donations in her name can be made to LHSC Children’s Health Foundation.
