Private interment of ashes on a later date. JONES- John Rodney “Scott” Jones of St. Thomas passed away at his residence on Monday, September 19, 2016 at the age of 51. Scott is survived by his children Mitchell and Allison Jones and their mother Trish all of St. Thomas; his mother Gail Jones of Barrie; his sisters Jennifer (Vanni) Azzano of St. Marys, Jocelyn (Mike) Osborne of Barrie; and by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his father Peter Jones (2005). Scott was formerly a Correctional Officer at the Barrie jail for many years and a Court Officer - Special Constable with Aylmer Police Services. He had many fond memories of his jobs with Law enforcement and dearly loved hunting, fishing and his children. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 1:30 pm. Cremation to follow. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
