Sending my sincere condolences to Bill’s entire family. I met Bill in September 1950 when we were in grade 9 at S.T.C.I.
We had many common interests and remained friends ever since. He loved his family and was especially proud of his grandchildren. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.

Dear Mary Ann
I was away last week and am just now learning of Bill's passing. I am sorry I was not able to attend visitation.
I first met Bill at the law offices of Stafford and Fanjoy in 1966. Since then we passed in and out of each others' lives and it's been several years since we last spoke. Through Bill I knew his mother and aunt and you. I attended many events that he arranged/promoted/ was involved in - concerts at the church -the Messiah and the wonderful event in Port Stanley with Peter Appleyard.
Whenever we met the conversations flowed - I enjoyed my times with him and I think perhaps he also enjoyed my company. I feel very sad that I will not have another such opportunity. Although I knew a lot about Bill I learned so much more in reading his obituary.
My sincere condolences to you and your family.
Wayne Kentner

Sarah's and I most sincere condolences on the passing of Bill. The pictures I have attached is the way I remember Bill being at the Registry Office in the good old days when he sat across from our Mother Glenda McMillan. I distinctly remember one day when Mom had picked us up from Wellington Street School and took us back to work with her for some reason, and Bill was working opposite. I remember Mom saying to me if I didn't behave Bill had the keys to the old jail and he would lock me up over there. Funny thing is I don't remember the jail being there, but I do remember when they took it off the back and made a parking lot.
Great memories! Remember the Good times. Charles and Sarah McMillan

Sending our deepest sympathies. While we didn't have the privilege of knowing Bill, what we knew of him, through many stories, lovingly told, was that he was a remarkable human. We hope that you find comfort in happy memories and the love of family and friends.

I enjoyed speaking with Bill about Jack Graney and the All-American Girls Professional League players over the years. He was an important and passionate advocate for Canadian baseball history. I respected his determination and his work. I'm sorry that he has left us. I will miss our conversations. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Sorry for the loss of your dad. He was a very accomplished man.
I remember visiting the Coulter home with my 2 sisters when your dad was a teenager. He would visit for a few minutes and as a typical teenager go to his room. However what made our visit special was visiting with his Aunt Ruth. I have wonderful memories of her. She was such a warm personality. I’m sure your dad had the same feelings about her. I am adding a picture of your dad’s Aunt Ruth. The picture is from 1958.

Dear Rachel and Alison,
I am sorry to hear that your Dad has passed.
I met your Dad in September 1950 at STCI as we started grade 9, and from there we developed a lifelong friendship. He was a kind man who succeeded in many ways. ......getting the women’s ball team from many years ago in the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame was remarkable. The world has been a better place having Bill in it. I will miss our chats.
I am also leaving sincere condolences from the STCI class of 1955.
Marg Payson.
