.I remember a time when my five young children and i were invited to the Sparta home for a swim. Didnt get to stay for the bbq though as my daughter lisa broke her wrist skateboarding on her drive so a-rush to emergency instead. Lorna was a very special person and will be missed by all who knew her.

To the whole of the Shaw Family,
So sorry to hear of the passing of Lorna. Although I don’t remember her being around much during the years Sarah and I spent at Shaw’s with Dad (Paul or muck muck as he was affectionately known) I remember him speaking so fondly of Lorna and Dennie when reflecting on his working days. Mom (Glenda) also came to know her through the books she had published. Especially re-connecting with her at Gospel Lighthouse not all that many years ago when she had published a few more and was at launch for thoes. We still have all the copies of her first book which she signed with a special little note to each of our family members (I think about four in total) whom supported her at the 1st launch. Including our Grandfather who read through from cover to cover twice. Somehow those days spent at the plant and with all of our relatives were simpler times.
