Malcolm's presence at STEGH will be sorely missed. He always made me smile and loved to tease that "here comes trouble" when he'd come for a chat in my office. Malcolm gave of his time to our community so willingly and was always making us laugh. He insisted on coming in to volunteer and tried not to miss shifts throughout all of his appointments and treatments, he was very dedicated to our hospital and those he worked with here. Tuesdays and Thursdays won't be the same without you here Malcolm. You are gone too soon, take care 'Trouble'.

I have so many awesome memories of Malcolm. I first met Malcolm in Highschool and later we ended up hanging around the same crowd. Riding,dancing, vacationing at my cottage with him and Jan! We had a blast! But one memory starts out and still makes us all laugh. We all decided to do some tanning on the dock one afternoon (with bevies) …. Along came the Island Queen cruise ship, as it did every day. Usually all the tourists got waves from all of us. Jumping up and down yelling hello!!! Well Malcolm took it to a new level! Off came the bathing suit and in his full glory he stood and waved at the people on the cruise ship!!!! Need I say more!!! To this day we always laugh and I used to tease him about how full the cruise ships passenger list grew and grew! The tourists were looking for him still! What a day!!! So many more memories… such an awesome friend. Malcolm, I’m so lucky to have shared some of my life with you and Jan. You just make sure my drink is cold when I get there. We will miss those big beautiful blue eyes and that huge grin and that incredible heart. We love you Buddy xoxoxo love Brigitte and Norm

So very sorry to hear of Malcolm's death. He was kind to a fault. I love that his path took him from riding motorcycles as a kid, to selling them later in life, and racing them along the way. I looked forward to when he would drop by to visit and we would catch up on life and talk about motorbikes. I will miss him. I'm still driving the car he sold me in 2011 when nobody else would. Thank you Malcolm.

The miracle of a greatly cherished friendship with Malcolm and Janice was forged with half a world separating us. It was a privilege getting to know them both, oddly enough initially solely across computer screens.. Malcolm was aptly nicknamed 'Bartender,' and 'Aragorn' but upon finally meeting them face-to-face in Canada, he became the 'Hugmeister' to me. A quiet man on the surface but with a depth of heart and intellect when shared. He became the 'Hugmeister' to me as one of Malcolm's hugs was always filled with incredible warmth, caring and humour. And there were two great loves in his life.... Janice and bike riding. On these topics he was never quiet!
I loved the times I eventually got to share with both Malcolm and Janice in Toronto, and once in New York. I was just sorry he never got to Australia as did Janice with her mother Dii. But every time we picked up the phone to speak, it was like we had just seen each other the day before.
Malcolm was truly Janice's soulmate and he hers. A life cut short far too soon. He will be missed but his love, his character and his spirit will live on forever in Janice's heart and the hearts of his family. May his memory hug us all ever so tight.
