Obituary of Norman Wilson
WILSON- Norman Floyd of St. Thomas passed away peacefully at Caressant Care-Mary Bucke in St. Thomas on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 in his 82nd year. Norman is survived by his wife Rosemary “Mickey” Wilson (nee Nicholls); his children Keith (Ada) Wilson of Utah, Laine (Michael) Roddick of Brockville, Christine (Kevin) West of Georgia, Lori (Steven) Smith of California and Karen (Marty) Fremlin of Desbarats; and by his twenty-seven grandchildren and thirty-one (and growing) great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Percy and Dora Wilson and his brothers Irving and Almer Wilson. Norm was the owner of Stop ’N Steer Shops. He began his careers in radio in North Bay and then worked for Bell Canada. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Business & Marketing and continued to work in the electronics communications industry. Norm enjoyed nature, playing guitar, exploring, as well as book and hardware stores. He gave devoted service to his family, church and Mickey was the love of his life for more than 62 years. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 436 Elm Street, St. Thomas on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral from 9:00-11:00 am. Interment in South Park Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society may be made in his memory. Visitation
