Obituary of Joe Gowers
Suddenly, hand in hand with his fiancé by his side at London Victoria Hospital, on September 21, 2024, Joseph Gowers (Poet) passed away at the age of 46. Joe is survived by his grandmother Muriel (the late Walt) Huckle; predeceased by his mother Brenda Ysebaert, father Raymond Ysebaert, and brother Jason Ysebaert (Francis). He was the loving spouse of Crystal Grimaldi. Adoring and proud father of Thomas (Keshia), Kaitlyn (Vevek), Carter (Micayla), Logan, and Maddox. Treasuring grandfather of Owen, Amaya, Levi, Lucas, Liam, and Madelyn. Caring brother of Candy (Johnny) and Mark (Tara). He will be deeply missed by his niece, nephews, extended family and friends.
Joe was a pivotal member in the hockey community where over the course of 10 years was a Trainer for the London Nationals and the St. Mary's Lincolns. He had encouraging special bonds with all the players he had the privilege of working with.
Poet was a devoted member of Biker's Against Child Abuse, Railway City Chapter, where he dedicated his time to empower abused children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live. He will be sorely missed by his brothers and sisters.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 5th, 2024 at 1:00pm located at Salvation Army St. Thomas 380 Elm Street. Words of remembrance will be shared at 3:00pm.
