Susan, Mary, Joe, and family:
Your father was the nicest neighbour. He always greeted me with that beautiful smile. We spent many hours sitting together on the porch, talking about his family and enjoying the neighbours passing by. Everyone always loved to stop by and say hello to Joe. I will miss him a lot. Love, Cynthia.

Dear Sue, Mary and Joe, I have very fond memories of staying over at your home with my buddy Joe when all of us attended St. Gabriel’s back in the early 70’s. Being from the city I had never rode on a school bus until I had the pleasure of riding the route to the Vandenboom household with Joe Junior and his Mom, Mary who drove the school bus. As a young kid I had great times at the Vandenboom farm learning how to ride a horse, feeding cows and chickens and riding Joe’s motorbike. Mary always cooked wonderful meals during my sleepovers. Mary and Joe were extremely kind to me as good friend of their son, Joe. Mary and Susan always made me feel welcome during sleepovers at the Vandenboom house. Now that your reunited in heaven Rest Easy Joe and Mary.

Dear Susan, Mary & Joe,
We are so happy for your father to be once again with his beloved wife of so many years. The people we are sad for are all of you who will miss him. We are a great lovers of ice cream as well, so you can be sure we will be having one or more of those in his honour. Take care of yourselves and know that he is fine.
Sincerely,

I remember ‘Uncle Joe’ as a hard worker, dedicated to his family. He had a happy disposition, and I have memories of his ever present impish smile. I’m sure that he will be missed by you all! Sending you strength as you deal with your sadness.
