Dear Bev and family, we are so sorry to hear about the passing of Len. We had the pleasure of getting to be neighbours with Bev and Len for several years in Belmont. I loved hearing his stories about horse racing over the fence whenever he was outside. Len was always in the stands cheering our son on at his hockey games and he’d always be there for a friendly hello when the kids were walking home from the bus after school. He will be missed by many. We will keep our memories a little closer to our hearts now. Sending our love and hugs to you Bev XO

Dear Dad
I thought I would mention in my own special way,
Some things that I might not otherwise say.
We had our troubles but that's in the past.
You did your best Dad, what more could I ask?
When I was younger I hadn't a clue.
I thought I was smart when I tied my own shoe.
But as I've grown older with each passing year,
Some of the truth has become very clear.
I had no idea of what you went through.
It's a wonder to me how you always made do.
I feel very honoured to call you my Dad.
I'm so grateful for all of the time that we had.
You taught me the most valuable lessons I know.
You raised me up right and then let me go.
Sometimes I fell but you were there when I called.
To me you have been the greatest mentor of all.
Your steadfast devotion spoke louder than words.
You deserve medals for all you've endured.

One of my favorite memories of Len was at our wedding. When it was time for the father of the bride to speak, he stood up and started with "for those of you who don't know me, I am kind of responsible for a lot of people being here today"
30 plus years later, I still laugh a little when I remember that. Rest in peace, Len.

Our Dad had dementia, but I was very fortunate and spend my parents 67th wedding anniversary with them this past May. We went to the Keg and our young waitress asked my Dad for some advice on how to achieve such a long marriage. I think we all held our breath not sure what he would come up with. Without missing a beat he said. “Don’t Take ANYTHING Forgranted”. Truer words I have never heard. I will miss his humour, honesty, friendship and our Euchre games. Love you Dad!!
