Obituary of John Ewanick

EWANICK- It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of John William Ewanick, in his 58th year, on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. John is survived by his loving wife Norma Ewanick (nee Kline) of St. Thomas; his three sons Bill, Matt, and Nick (Alex Dunlop); his sister Connie (Kevin) Blyde of Port Stanley and their daughter Karlie Laur; by his brothers-in-law Wayne (Jody) Kline and Gary (Cindy) Kline all of St. Thomas; sister-in-law Patsy (Tony) Brooks of Port Stanley; and by his aunts Helen Carter of Lambeth, Vickie (Dick) Hoffman of Hamilton, Evelyn Ewanick of Stoney Creek; and his uncle George (Barb) Ewanick of Etobicoke. Predeceased by his parents William and Shirley Ewanick. John was a long time employee at the Beer Store, a proud and involved member of Central United Church and the Optimist Club of St. Thomas. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Friday, June 24, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A memorial service to celebrate John’s life will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00 am from Central United Church 135 Wellington Street, St. Thomas. A private interment of ashes will be held in Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery. If desired, donations to Central United Church, Canadian Children’s Optimist Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
