Obituary of Emile Therrien

THERRIEN - Joseph Emile Aristide of St. Thomas passed away at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, peacefully and surrounded by his family on Friday, March 11, 2016 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Gisèle Therrien (2014). Adored father of Jean-Guy Therrien, Daniel (Bonnie) Therrien, Michel Therrien, Angèle (Richard) Luce, Sylvie MacIntyre, Denis (Joanne) Therrien. Proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Also missed by his sisters Jeannine Durand and Bibianne Lauzon; siblings-in-law Bernadette (René) Grenier, Anne Marie (Sylvio) Thibeault, Gaston (Marcelle) Thibault, Irené (Marie Laure) Thibeault; and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by many brothers and sisters. Emile was a member of Holy Angels Parish in St. Thomas, and the Knights of Columbus - Windsor. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 pm, with parish prayers at 4:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Angels Parish 502 Talbot Street, St Thomas on Thursday at 10:00 am. Cremation to follow. Interment of ashes in Holy Angels Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society or London Regional Cancer Program would be appreciated. Visitation Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 pm.
