Obituary of Ivan Shackelton

SHACKELTON- Ivan Richard Shackelton passed away at the Brantford General Hospital on Monday, January 25, 2016 at the age of 74. Ivan is survived by his loving wife Mable; his children Jason (Cheryl) Shackelton of Milton, Sara (Keith) Ardiel of Freelton; by his grandchildren Dawson Shackelton, Madison, Maya and Aiden Curran, and Kalia and Kody Ardiel; his siblings Joan (Ron) Lidster, Larry (Mary) Shackelton, Darlene (Eric) McKenzie, Sandra (John) VanDuinkerken, David (Janet) Shackelton, Janet (John) York, Paul (Ann Marie) Shackelton, and Greg (Brenda) Shackelton; and by many other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his two daughters Ivana and Lia, granddaughter Stephanie, his sister Doreen Hampson, and by his parents Carmen and Shirley Shackelton. Ivan retired from the Ford Motor Company having worked at both Talbotville and Oakville. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m., where the funeral service will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m.. Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Parkinson Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
