Obituary of Marie Bogart

BOGART (Walch), Doris “Marie” - On January 16, 2016, Marie died at home, surrounded by the love of her family. Fondly remembered as wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Loving wife of 67 years, to the late James Bogart (2015). Dearly missed by her family Karen, Nathan, Aaron, and Hadley Wallace; Michael and Betty Walch; Karla Stewart; Heather, Steve, Sarah, Josh and Leah Stanley; her sister Verlyn McQuiggan; and her cherished nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Edward and Beulah Walch; her siblings Alice (1998), Ellen (1966), Howard (1916), Harrison (1948), Ivan (1969), Flora (2006), Jim (2007), twin brother Murray “Barney” (1962). Marie was a lifetime resident of Southwold Township and attended Bible Baptist Church. Family and friends appreciated her sense of humour, creativity, resourcefulness and generosity. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.. Interment in McArthur cemetery. If desired, donations to a charity of your choosing would be gladly accepted.
