Obituary of Bernt W. Brauer

BRAUER- Bernt Wasa Brauer of St.Thomas, passed away peacefully at his home in the arms of his wife, June 19, 2015 at the age of 82. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Margaret Brauer (nee Hawken), Bernt is survived by his children Claudette (Cliff) Steeves of Gilbert Plains, Manitoba, Andrew (Cindy) Overman of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Stephan (Monica) Brauer of Montreal, Quebec, Karl (Dori) Brauer of London, Ontario, Kevin (Teresa) Brauer of White Rock, British Columbia, Mitchell (Ashley) Overman of Goulais River, Ontario, and Marcus (Juanita) Brauer of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Bernt is the loved grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grand-children. He is sadly missed by his siblings Michael (Ann) Brauer, Katherine Brauer, Barbara (Klause) Hildebrandt, Erdmann (Maria) Brauer; sisters-in-law Lisa Brauer and Jacqueline Siegfried, and brother-in-law Arne Osterberg, as well as many dear nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Bernt enriched the lives of many through his kind, loving character, and his appreciation of beauty in life and nature. A celebration of his life will take place at St. Andrews Westminster United Church (2008 Glanworth Drive at Higbury, St. Thomas) on Saturday June 27, 2015 at 10:30 am. The family extends heartfelt thanks to compassionate caregivers Pat and Nadine and Dr. John Tokarewicz, and special friends Debbie, JoAnn and Bert.
