Obituary of John Miles Lindsay

LINDSAY - John Miles of St. Thomas passed away at Sakura House in Woodstock, after a courageous battle, on Friday, March 20, 2015. He was 67 years of age. John is survived by his children Brad (Kendra) Lindsay of London, and Matt (Siobhan) Lindsay of Abu Dhabi; grandchildren Jacob, Riley, and Teo; siblings Marilyn (Dave) Parsons, Gerry (Jane) Lindsay, Marg (Ross) Alexander, Sandra Hiscox; his life partner Nancy Skillings; and his many special neighbours. Predeceased by his parents Murray and Violet Lindsay, his sister Carol Anne and her husband Bill Sanders, and his brother-in-law Jim Hiscox. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). John was a great follower of the First Nations traditions, and held their beliefs and customs in the highest regard. In keeping with John’s wishes, an End of Life Ceremony has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Quality Inn (Birch Room) 580 Bruin Blvd., Woodstock on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00pm. Interment of ashes at a later date.
