Obituary of Michael Wotypka
WOTYPKA - Michael Wotypka of St. Thomas passed away suddenly at his home on March 6, 2015 at the age of 70. Michael is survived by his wife Janet Wotypka (nee Jackson) of St. Thomas; greatly missed by his daughters Michelle (Nick) DeMelo and their children Heidi, Grace and Cooper of Baden, and Vanessa Wotypka of London; by his brothers and sisters-in-law Marion (late Ken) Whittaker of New Brunswick, John (Bertha) Jackson of New Brunswick, David (Evelyn) Jackson of St. Thomas, Jane (late Ralph) Gooding of St. Thomas, Beatrice (late George) Ferris of New Brunswick, Christina Jackson of St. Thomas, Tom (Linda) Jackson of St. Thomas; and by many other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Hugo and Carla Wotypka. Michael was born in Vienna, Austria and moved to Canada in 1971. He loved to play golf and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A private memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 12, 2015. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.
