Obituary of Penny Spence

SPENCE- Penny Spence (nee Sullivan) passed away with her family by her side at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at the age of 66. She is now together with her beloved husband Bill, who passed away in 2013. Penny is survived by her loving daughter Colleen Spence of St. Thomas; her grandchildren, who she helped raise and treated like her own children, Riley Spence and Jarod Colwell of St. Thomas; by her brother Tom (Hope) Sullivan of Komoka; brother-in-law John (Viv) Spence of Londesboro; sisters-in-law Gus (Bill) Minnice and Joan Warnica both of London; her special extended family Judy Birtch and Bernie St. Jean of St. Thomas; many nieces and nephews; her grand puppy Axel; and her nursing sisterhood. Penny worked as an RPN in the CCU at St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 pm. The funeral service will take place in the chapel on Thursday at 12:00 pm. Cremation to follow.
