Obituary of John Bol

BOL - Johannes Jacobus “John” Bol of St. Thomas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Tina Van Meppelen Scheppink (2008). John is survived by children Elly (Paul) May of London, Jack (Debbie) Bol of Florida, John (Liz) Bol of London; grandchildren Sherry (Larry) Chambers of Simcoe, Nicholas (Melissa) May of Toronto, Paula (Jimmy) Meldrum of St. Thomas, Amey Bol, Amanda Bol, Chris Bol, Kathryn Bol, Rebecca Bol all of London; great-grandchildren Colton and Elisha Chambers, Madyson Bol; two sisters in Holland; and brother-in-law Jerry Van Meppelen Scheppink. John had retired as an X-ray Technician at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, and was a member of the Free Reformed Church of St. Thomas. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 11:00am to 1:00pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel at 1:00pm. Interment in Elmdale Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Free Reformed Church of St. Thomas would be appreciated.
