Obituary of Lorne A. Honsberger

HONSBERGER, Lorne Austin of St. Thomas, Ontario passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the age of 61. Beloved husband of Helene Honsberger (nee Daoust). Lorne is survived by children Wayne (Jackie) Honsberger of St. Thomas, Brandy (Rick) Gerada of St. Thomas, Amber Daoust (Jimmy Hemsworth) of St. Thomas, Danielle Villamor (Sean) of London, Megan Villamor of St. Thomas; grandchildren Coleton Honsberger, Brooke and Brandon Gerada, Austin Hemsworth; siblings Gloria (Gary) Tunks, Steven (Joanne) Honsberger, Nancy Hussey (Ivan). Sadly missed by his father-in-law Delphis Daoust (Alice Grenier) and mother-in-law Laurie Nolan; sibling-in-laws Jennifer Simpson (Tim), Angie La (Jamie), Della Nolan (Ryan), Karen Phillips (Danny), Richard Daoust (Selina), Emily Nolan (Shawny), Lloyd Nolan (Leesh). Fondly remembered by his Aunt Lillian Graham. Lorne is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Ralph and Dorothy Honsberger and his brother Wayne Honsberger. Lorne was retired from the Ford Motor Company in Talbotville and in his spare time he loved playing poker, fishing at Balsam Lake, and hunting whenever he could. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Trinity Anglican Church 55 Southwick Street, St. Thomas on Monday, June 16 at 11:00am. Interment at St. Thomas Cemetery - West Ave. following the service.
