Obituary of James V. Davey

DAVEY - James (Jim) V. Davey of St. Thomas, Ont. passed away suddenly on March 15, 2014 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto at the age of 66. Beloved husband of Helen Davey (nee Ouellette). Sadly missed by children Sean (Vanessa) Davey, Ryan (Tabatha) Davey; grandchildren Kienan and Leighton all of St. Thomas; siblings Brian (Leesa) Davey, Lloyd Davey (the late Ruth), Ronald (Shirley) Davey, Sheilah Williams; mother-in-law Amy Ouellette; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents James and Mary Davey, and his father-in-law Willie Ouellette. Jim had retired from Presstran, and in his spare time enjoyed participating in and watching a variety of sports. His greatest joy came from watching his grandchildren at all their sporting events. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 1:00pm. Cremation to follow with interment at a later date. If desired, donations to his grandchildren’s Trust Fund would be appreciated.
