Obituary of Daniel H. Coxon

COXON - Daniel Harold of St. Thomas passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday, January 24, 2014 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Doris Coxon (nee Jennings). Dan is survived by children Ruth (Malcolm) McKellar, Dan (Tori) Coxon, Linda (Tim) White, Jeff (Sherry) Coxon, and Dianne (Rick) Slade all of St. Thomas. Dearly missed by twenty four grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and was a brother-in-law to many. Predeceased by his parents William and Emily Coxon (nee Carr), and his brothers Bill, George, David, Jack, and Doug. Dan retired from Canron and Elgin Handles, and in his spare time enjoyed watching the St. Thomas Junior B Stars, driving for Red Line Taxi and riding his scooter around Elgin Mall. Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). Cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service on February 8, 2014, at 1:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 9946 Talbotville Gore Road, Talbotville. Interment of ashes at a later date. If desired, donations to the Diabetes Association or the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses would be appreciated.
