Obituary of Harold H. Smith

SMITH, Harold Harding of Sparta, Ontario passed away peacefully on November 26, 2013 at the age of 88. Loving husband of 57 years, to Anne (nee Walters). Loving father of Michael Smith of Mississauga and Susan (Wayne MacEachran) Smith of Kitchener. Survived by his sisters Margaret (Don) Helmer, Vera (Ray) Martin, and his sister-in-law Kathleen Smith. Harold was predeceased by his parents, Harding and Vera Smith, his brother Dr. Don Smith, and brother-in-law Tom (Niola) Walters. Harold was a life-long poultry-man and ran Erie View Poultry Farm & Hatchery at R. R. 1 Sparta. He also enjoyed fishing. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 1:00 to 2:00pm, with the memorial service in the chapel at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
