Obituary of Fred Sampson
SAMPSON-Frederick George “Fred” Sampson passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital at the age of 60. Fred is survived by his loving wife Barb Sampson (nee Seymour); his son Darrell (Michelle) Sampson and their children Carter and Kennedy all of St. Thomas; his mother Virginia Sampson of London; by his sisters Kathleen (Harold) Lake of Edmonton, Sharon (Rollie) Martens of Kelowna, B.C.; his brothers Richard Sampson of Kelowna, B.C. and Robert (Bonnie) Sampson of London; sister Debbie (Dave) Young of Port Bruce; sisters-in-law Janie Sampson of London and Kathy (Jerry) Pawitch of Strathroy; and by many other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by his father Harry Sampson and his brother Charles Sampson. Fred’s passion for architecture lead him to begin his career as a draftsman. Eventually he wanted to become more hands-on with his projects, which inspired him to start his own framing company. As the years passed, he transitioned into the role of superintendent for several construction companies. Fred also enjoyed gardening, golfing, cooking, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren Carter and Kennedy. Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street St. Thomas (519-631-0570). Cremation has taken place. A private service will be held on a later date. If desired, donations to the Lung Association -C.O.P.D. or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated. Cremation
