Obituary of Irene Signora Smith

SMITH- Irene S. Smith (nee Nelson) passed away peacefully at Oak Crossing People Care-London, on Friday, August 16, 2013. Predeceased by her beloved husband Donald “Fred” Smith (1999). Irene is survived by her youngest brother, Randall (Isabel) Nelson and will always be cherished by her two daughters, Marlene (David) Hennessy and Lyla-Jean (Ed) Mundy. Irene was blessed with five loving grandsons; Colin Hennessy, Kevin Strutt, Kelvin Strutt, Rob (Wendy) Hennessy, and Jodie (Charity) Strutt. Irene was a former employee of the IGA in St. Thomas and enjoyed volunteering at Parkwood Hospital in London. The funeral service will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Tuesday, August 20. 2013 at 2:00 pm. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery.
