Obituary of Hazel Nellie Suckling

SUCKLING- Hazel Nellie Suckling (nee Roberts) passed away at St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, August 3, 2013 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late A.C. Terry Suckling (2009). Loved mother of David Suckling (Charlotte Wilcox) of St. Thomas and Philip Suckling (Cheryl) of Wimberley, Texas. Dear grandmother of Jennifer Dugard of St. Thomas, Kristy Lojewski (Mark) of Ingersoll, Colin Roberts (Lynne) of Burlington, Karla Suckling (Drew Schaffer) of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Sonja Mlenar (Dustin) of Kyle, Texas, Joanna Suckling of San Jose, California and Deanna Suckling of Austin, Texas. Hazel is also survived by her great grandchildren Brighton Roberts, Donovan and Weston Lojewski and Sydney Suckling; her sister Gren Gregoire of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba; her sister-in-law Marie Roberts of Oakville, Manitoba; and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Ruth Cutforth and her brothers Herb Roberts and Howard Roberts. Hazel was a member of St. Mark’s United Church. A memorial service will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service. Interment of ashes in Elmdale Cemetery. If desired, donations to St. Mark’s United Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated.
