Obituary of Dorothy Marion Mansell

MANSELL, Dorothy Marion “Mars” (nee Smith) of St. Thomas passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Sunday, July 7, 2013. Beloved mother of Brian (Brenda) Mansell of St. Thomas. Dorothy is survived by her grandchildren Dr. Jubilea Mansell (Paul Rooyakkers) of Ingersoll, Grayden Mansell of St. Thomas; many nieces, nephews and cousins both locally and overseas. Dorothy was the last surviving member of her family. Dorothy and her husband, the late Ossie Mansell were the second generation owners of The Old Gardens. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Sunday, July 14, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00pm. In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held on Monday at St. Thomas Cemetery-West Ave.. If desired, donations to Faith Church-Mansell Memorial would be appreciated.
