Obituary of Verda Carmichael

CARMICHAEL- Verda Laurena Carmichael (nee Storm) passed away while surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 21, 2013, at the Sakura House Hospice in Woodstock in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence “Jim” Carmichael. Verda is survived by her children Gary (Sandra) Carmichael of St. Thomas, Sheila (Daniel) Goodwin of Burton, New Brunswick, Eric (Mary-Ann) Carmichael of Waterloo, and Dale (Tammy) Carmichael of Sturgeon Falls; her grandchildren Raysha Carmichael (Matthew Litwin), Caitlin Carmichael, Robert (Majorie Alain) Goodwin, Tanya Goodwin, Jordan and Jarett Carmichael, and Nathan, Connor, and Kaylee Carmichael; by her sister Audrey Coulis of Sudbury; and by several nieces and nephews. Verda was a retired public school teacher, a member of the Red Hat Society, and a member of Wo-He-Lo. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at Salon Funeraire Theoret-Bourgeois in Warren, Ontario (705-753-0350) on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 2:00 - 6:00 pm.
