Obituary of Pearl Yvonne Abbott

ABBOTT - At Elgin Manor St. Thomas on Wednesday December 5th, Pearl Yvonne Abbott went home to be with her Saviour in her 82nd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald Abbott (2010). Yvonne is survived by her loving daughters Lynne (Bill) Houghton of Shedden and Carol (Gerry) Abbott-Wolfson of Alberta; her grandchildren Cheri Houghton of London, Julia (Nathan) Toews and their daughter Emily of Cambridge and Mike Houghton of Shedden; and her sister Shirley White of Alberta. Yvonne worked with her husband on the family farm. She enjoyed life in Gladstone and served in a variety of areas at Gladstone Baptist Church including playing the piano and organ, and attended Faith Church after moving to St. Thomas. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Friday, December 7, 2012 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 11:00am. Interment in Dorchester Union Cemetery.
