Obituary of Ernest Perry
PERRY - Ernest James “Butch” of St. Thomas passed away peacefully on October 5, 2012 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of Marion Perry (nee Schram) for 65 years. Butch is also survived his sister Marion (the late Wesley) McMillan of St. Thomas; and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Bessie McCallum and brothers Allan Perry and Ivan Perry; sister-in-law Dorothy Mayer. He retired some years ago as a finish carpenter, and had served in Europe, as a soldier during WWII as a member of the Second Canadian Field Company, Royal Canadian Engineers. Butch was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Lord Elgin Br. 41. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). Cremation has taken place; there will be no visitation or service. Private Interment in St. Thomas Cemetery. If desired, donations to the War Amps CHAMPS Program or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated. Cremation with Interment
