Obituary of Robert Drysdale Davidson

DAVIDSON- Robert Drysdale Davidson passed away peacefully on Sunday July 22, 2012, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Marilyn Joyce Davidson (2010). Loving father of Laurel Johnston and her husband Ron of St. Thomas, Jennifer Davis and her husband Dan Welch of Port Stanley, Robert Davidson Jr. and Tracy Cherry. Dear grandfather of Chris Green of St. Thomas, and Andrew and Emily Welch of Port Stanley. Also survived by his sister Margaret Borthwick of Point Edward, Jean (Bob) Norman of Galt, brother-in-law Jack (Sue) Hill of Fort Gratiot, Michigan. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and Bell Hill. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Jessie Davidson and several other brothers and sisters. Robert was a member and Past Charter President of the Royal Canadian Legion Last Post Branch #410, Port Stanley, and a member of the Korea Veterans Association #4. Cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes will take place in South Park Cemetery on a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570).
