Obituary of Joanna Maria Vanderloo

VANDERLOO- Joanna “Ann” Vanderloo passed away at Parkwood Hospital, surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the age of 67. Ann is survived by her children Kim Graham and her daughter Ryann of London, Rick (Alex) Graham and their children Sam and Maddy of St. Thomas, Matthew (Kate) Robinson of St. Thomas, Sarah (Craig) Coxon and their son Scotty of St. Thomas; her siblings Mary (late Nick) Birkenheuer of West Lorne, William (Louise) Vanderloo of Rodney, Patsy (Harry) Vandenboomen of Rodney, Joe Vanderloo of Aylmer, Kathy (Dave) Townsend of Blenheim; also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents William and Katherine Vanderloo; her brothers Harry, Tony and John Vanderloo; and by her grandson Jack Robinson. Ann was a member of the C.W.L. at Holy Angels, the Franciscan Order, the Social Justice League, and was an active volunteer in the community. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-8:45 pm. Parish Prayers will be recited at 8:45 pm in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Angels Church on Wednesday at 10:00 am. Cremation to follow. Interment of ashes in St. Mary’s Church Cemetery - West Lorne at a later date. If desired, donations to Holy Angels or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Visitation Tuesday, July 24, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. Parish prayers to be recited in the funeral home at 8:45 pm.
