Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Golding

GOLDING- Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Golding (nee Cook) passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the age of 60. Betty will be dearly missed by her loving husband and best friend Doug Golding of St. Thomas; her daughter Melissa Kersey of London; granddaughters Mercedes and Ciara Maloney; her brothers Robert Cook, Clifford (Geri) Cook, and Donald Cook; sisters Patricia (Eugene) Korneluk, Dorothy Leif, and Marjorie (Bill) Price; sister-in-law Elizabeth (Don) Wharton and their families; and by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her parents The Reverend Dr. Roy C. Cook and Mrs. Dorothy Cook. Betty earned her C.G.A. while working at the University of Western Ontario in the Finance Department and was a member of the Mustang Club of St. Thomas. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, where the funeral will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Victoria Hospital-Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated.
