Obituary of Betty Latam

LATAM- Betty Latam (nee Sytsma) passed away at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in her 70th year. Beloved wife of the late David Latam (1992). Betty will be sadly missed by her loving daughters Teresa (John) Lunn and their children Courtney, J.C. and Emily of St. Thomas, and Donna (Rick) Stokes of St. Thomas. Special grandma to Mason and Bella. Betty is also survived by her sister-in-law Darlene Sytsma, several nieces and nephews and their families, and by her good friend Gerald Melanson. Predeceased by her parents William and Ida Sytsma and her siblings Dorothy Millard, Louie Sytsma and Dan Sytsma. Betty worked at Goodwill on Talbot Street for many years. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion 24 John Street St. Thomas on Friday March 30, 2012 from 3:00 - 8:00 pm.
