Obituary of Lewis Orville Shepherd

SHEPHERD - Lewis Orville Passed away peacefully on Friday September 22, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospice London at the age of 92. Beloved husband for 65 years of the late Gwen Shepherd (2017). Dear father of Lisa Shepherd (David Dougherty) of London; proud grandfather of Sean, Brendan, Ryan and Connor Dougherty. Fondly remembered by siblings in law Larry (Lynn) Goldsmith of Sarnia, and the late Leone Leroy (Bob). Predeceased by parents Nellie and Lorne Shepherd and brother Maurice Shepherd. Born and raised in St. Thomas, Lew was a store manager for Loblaws for many years. He was an avid gardener and keen bargain hunter. The family would like to thank Lew’s neighbours for their countless acts of kindness and the staff of St. Joseph’s Hospice for their exceptional care. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the SHAWN JACKSON FUNERAL HOME 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). Cremation has already taken place. Interment of ashes to take place at Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice London or charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
